Smoke Ventilation Engineer

Due to the Company’s continued success, we are looking to expand the Engineering Team in Kidderminster and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Smoke Ventilation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career within the smoke and ventilation industry. This role is important to the future success of NSP. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Engineering.

The role involves:

  • Organise your time to enable safe and punctual access to your workforce
  • Read drawings and install cabling and controls correctly
  • Liaise with site management, customers and co-workers
  • Produce daily reports to line manager
  • Produce service/commissioning reports for each project you attend
  • Service existing smoke ventilation systems
  • 2nd fix installation of control panels and accessories
  • Travelling to sites all over the UK
  • To be able to service a wide range of smoke ventilation products from a range of manufacturers
  • Commissioning of the AOV system and handing over system to client
  • Working away is essential

Key experience / Qualifications:

  • JIB / ECS Gold card holder
  • BS7671 18th Edition
  • PASMA / IPAF
  • 2391
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in smoke ventilation
  • Working knowledge of multiple manufacturers equipment

Qualities required:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Ability to train and mentor apprentices
  • Ability to work on own and part of a team
  • Ability to organise work in a timely and effective manner
  • Passion for providing premium service

We will offer the following package:

  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (Permanent)
  • Overtime available for working on site outside of contracted hours
  • Salary: Competitive salary dependant on skills, experience, and qualifications.
